Fresh Easter Baskets

We love Easter baskets, but we don’t like them to be all candy.

Here’s what we’re putting in the baskets this year.

Books!

    • For the baby, we’ve got a board book. Guess How Much I Love You is a sweet bunny book

  • Bunnicula, the story of a vampire bunny, will be a perfect read-aloud for the new reader. She has just the right sense of humor.

  • The oldest child is a confident reader who likes series adventures. Redwall is a tale of bold rabbits and their forest creature friends.

Toys

Playmobil is one of our favorite toys for imaginative play. They’ve done sets in eggs! That’s perfect for an Easter basket.

Shakers are great for rhythm play, and babies love them. This set of three gave us one for each basket — and they’re little animals!

Candy

There’s going to be a little bit of candy in the baskets. We chose some creative options.

No candy for the baby! The bigger kids would feel it wasn’t fair for her to have no candy at all, so we might put in a few pieces and Dad and Mom can help. But the goodies for the baby are these bright colored baby food pouches.
