Baby Jogger City Select Lux Review

The Baby Jogger City Select Lux is luxe enough to deserve its name. It’s safe and comfortable for baby, easy to push, and really sturdy. The Baby Jogger City Select Lux stroller will not be the bargain choice, but we think it’s worth the cost, especially if you’re planning to have more than one baby.

Here are the particularly awesome things about this stroller

It’s great on all kinds of terrain. Paved paths, city sidewalks, woodland trails, mud, or straight across the grass in the park, your baby gets a smooth ride. We’ve gotten stuck with other strollers, but the Joigger never lets us down.

It carries lots of gear. Here we’re going to a play in the park with a giant diaper bag, two camp chairs, a purse, a present, water bottles, and snacks.

As you can see, everything fits under the seat perfectly.

I use [amazon_textlink asin=’B00CYRYUXU’ text=’stroller hooks’ template=’ProductLink’ store=’us-1′ marketplace=’US’ link_id=’dd00fdf1-4d42-11e8-b27d-474d547046ff’] to hang a bag from the handles. The Jogger says not to hang bags on the handle, but I do it anyway. The danger is that your stroller will tip over from the weight of your bag. Be aware of this and use common sense. Definitely put heavy things into the storage area instead.

The City Select Lux stroller feels very sturdy. Other strollers sometimes feel kind of rickety. This one gives a smooth ride and feels stable at all times.

This stroller is also versatile. It’s designed to grow with your family, and has more than 20 configurations for seats and bench options. It’s 30% smaller than the City Select, too. It also has lots of accessories. We haven’t tried them, but they clearly provide more options than your average stroller.

Drawbacks

This is not a small, light, quick option. It takes me up to seven minutes to get it out of the vehicle, set up, loaded, and ready to go, compared with three minutes for the Douna stroller I also use. If you drive a small vehicle, you might have trouble fitting it in.

It takes up some space in use, too. At the Botanical Gardens, where the picture above was taken, we tool up more than half the path at some points, and I sometimes felt that I was in the way. This might not bother you at all, but it makes me choose another option when I’m heading for a craft fair or coffee shop.

If you want to own just one stroller, this is it. If the drawbacks I’ve mentioned are issues for you, you might want to purchase a smaller umbrella stroller to have a second option.

Either way, you’ll be happy with the Baby Jogger City Select Lux stroller for years.
